The Madigan House is designed to create a homelike setting for its residents in a secure and family-like atmosphere. The residents of Madigan House need some help and direction with activities of daily living but do not need the level of care in our skilled nursing section. The staff is specially trained to care for people with Alzheimer’s disease.
Just Like Home
The family-like settings include comfortable furnishings and a large dining room and kitchen. Residents can enjoy family-style dining with home-cooked, well-balanced meals and snacks approved by our dietitian. There are areas for privacy where families can visit with residents. Residents can also enjoy an enclosed courtyard with an old-fashioned gazebo. The secured courtyard features paved circular walkways that invite a wide range of peaceful activities such as bird watching, gardening, and contact with nature.
Residents are encouraged to use familiar personal possessions, such as pictures, furnishings, and items of interest and meaning in their rooms. They are encouraged to become involved in all aspects of the home and to maintain a normal lifestyle as possible in a homelike, supervised environment. Family lifestyle continues, as family members are encouraged to participate in programs and activities.

One of the greatest advantages we offer is an active lifestyle. Whatever your hobbies, walking, card playing, music, arts and crafts, exercise, reading or just friendly conversation, we have programs and facilities to let you pursue your interests. All of these amenities are included in your monthly rent, along with the services of an activity director who plans regular events throughout the community.
